ABOUT THIS GOAL
The ocean covers most of the planet, regulates the climate and provides food and income for billions of people. It is under threat from pollution, overfishing, warming and acidification.
Goal 14 aims to reduce marine pollution, especially from land, protect and restore marine and coastal ecosystems, end overfishing and illegal fishing, and conserve more of our coastal and marine areas.
