SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL 1
No Poverty
End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
ABOUT THIS GOAL
Hundreds of millions of people still live in extreme poverty, struggling to meet basic needs such as food, health care, education, water and sanitation. Poverty is about more than a lack of income: it also means hunger, exclusion and having little say in decisions that affect your life.
Goal 1 calls for an end to extreme poverty, for social protection systems that reach the poorest, and for equal rights to economic resources, land and basic services, so that people can withstand shocks such as disasters and economic crises.
